A special highlight of the evening is the authentic Egyptian candle holder dance (Shamadan) – a traditional wedding dance where an ornate candle holder is carried on the head. Accompanied by the characteristic sounds of finger cymbals (Sagat), an impressive atmosphere is created, which has been a fixed part of Egyptian wedding celebrations for generations. The festive opening is a stylish dance to the timeless classic "Set El Hosen" (“Dame der Schönheit”) – a homage to the elegance and expressive power of oriental dance. In addition to classical compositions, the audience can expect modern pop pieces as well as a specially choreographed, contemporary ouverture in the unmistakable dance style of Katharina Joumana, which fascinatingly combines tradition and modernity. The program is presented by Katharina Joumana's dance ensemble Oriental Roses, which impresses with expressive choreography, precision, and stage presence.
