Book Launch: Susanna Desax – Solveigs Weg

Description

Solveigs Weg. A novel about the possibility of writing the script of life oneself and freeing oneself from entrenched roles. Through an encounter, a woman in her mid-thirties realizes how far her life is from what she once wished for. Her carefully guarded balance begins to falter, long-forgotten dreams awaken. She pushes aside all doubts and dares to set out. But she soon feels: real change is only possible if her openness is directed inward, if she engages with her beliefs and allows herself to remember painful experiences. Susanna Desax. Swiss roots, Zurich influence, Bernese new home. Studied German language and literature and philosophy. In her professional life – from high school teacher and freelance speaker to editor and author – her interest lies in the question of how free we are to shape ourselves and our history. She lives near Biel. "Solveigs Weg" is her first novel.
