Two bands, one evening full of Forró: Forró Fusion and the Rafael Beibi Trio. With Forró Fusion, four musicians come together who have taken different paths within Brazilian music. Caramuru, bandleader of Forró de KA and co-founder of the Forró dance club in Karlsruhe, has been performing across Europe since 2012. Cainã Araújo, accordionist, singer, and composer, started his international career with the album "Estrada do Meu Peito" and brings the warmth of northeastern Brazil directly to the stage. Together with Rafa Balancê and Filipe Moreno, they form the quartet Forró Fusion on this evening. The second highlight is Rafael Beibi (Dona Zaíra) with his trio straight from Brazil. The singer, songwriter, and percussionist from Piracicaba founded the band Dona Zaíra, participated in the TV show ‘SuperStar’ in 2015, and released eight albums, collaborating with Hermeto Pascoal, Dominguinhos, and Jota Pê among others. He is accompanied by Guegué Medeiros and Rafa Virgulino. Two bands, two musical styles, and a common origin: the energy, joy of life, and dance culture of Brazilian Forró; easy to dance to and hard to forget. Food and drinks are also provided: Brazilian finger food with various specialties. Doors open at 6:00 PM, for a Forró taster course at 6:15 PM, and the concert begins at 7:00 PM.
