The Boxitos: Authenticity, Inclusion, and Pure Groove The Boxitos are a music project that couldn't be more authentic. As an inclusion band of the ESB Baselland, they create soundscapes that go far beyond music: every performance becomes an emotional experience that bridges gaps and breaks down barriers in the mind. Their music tells the personal stories of the band members and offers touching insights into their individual worlds. The band consists of former learners of the ESB aged between 23 and 33 years. In their weekly rehearsals, they combine bass, guitar, and vocals with an impressive arsenal of percussion instruments from around the world – from the eponymous "Box" (Cajon) to Caxixis and rattles. Not only the joy of creative expression is at the center: making music together enhances concentration, coordination, and social interaction on equal footing. Rasselbande: A Collective of Diversity With their current project "Rasselbande," the Boxitos have presented their most personal work to date. From hip-hop to country to techno – each song was initiated by the musicians themselves and reflects their identity. This artistic self-determination is also visually visible: for their artwork, they closely collaborate with the art studio of the BSB Kreativwerkstatt, strengthening the connection between music and visual art. The band is led by experienced musicians Heen Martens and Peter Stöcklin. The project is also supported on strategic and organizational levels by Vera Jochum, who volunteers her expertise for the band's interests. The Boxitos are more than a band – they are cultural ambassadors for lived inclusion.
