Description

Few topics accompany human history as much as war and peace. ApérOHR explores in this program what answers music from different eras has found to the omnipresence of conflicts, violence on the one hand, and hope for a life in peace on the other. A moving concert evening that shows how music can provide comfort, evoke memories, and build bridges. Music: C. Ph. E. Bach, P. Hindemith, J. Lennon, B. Dylan, E. Schulhoff Ensemble ApérOHR – Flute / Clarinet / Harp / Guitar Friendly bonds and making music together over many years have turned two couples into an ensemble. The four ensemble members are united by, among other things, an unbroken passion for experimenting and expanding their own horizons; thus, in the Kulturscheune Liestal – all four participants teach at the Regional Music School Liestal – since autumn 2015, special concert formats have been created: The four well-traveled musicians bring friends from all over the world to Liestal and confront these artists and their specific aesthetics with the extraordinary instrumentation of Ensemble ApérOHR.
