Simon Green, aka Bonobo, has announced a series of dates for his brand new Bonobo Live Show, which will tour through Great Britain and Europe in February and March 2027, including a return to the historic Alexandra Palace in London. The show will be another evolution of the Bonobo live experience that has captivated fans worldwide for over a decade. In addition to an initial series of dates in North America – taking place in November and December this year – this will be Bonobo's first live tour since his shows supporting the 2022 album «Fragments». Green recently explained in an interview with Mixmag as part of his cover feature: "This time, the show will include a strong visual element, and we will also incorporate more electronic sounds. When I started performing live, the music was more jazz-influenced, but it has since evolved into something else. I have already performed solo live shows with only modular synthesizers and a few other devices, so this will be a mix of that and my live band. Something different from last time, with more tempo and energy." His groundbreaking live show – built around a full live band, guest singers, and immersive visuals – set the standard for how and where an electronic musician can bring their albums to the live stage. He has performed in front of millions worldwide, with sold-out shows at prestigious venues like the Sydney Opera House, Alexandra Palace, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre – often as one of the first electronic artists ever – as well as on the biggest festival stages around the world, including Glastonbury, Coachella, Sonar, and Fuji Rock. His latest tour also included a co-headliner appearance at London's Field Day (with Aphex Twin) and a historic, sold-out residency over five nights at the Royal Albert Hall – the longest series of consecutive performances by a solo artist at this venue and the longest ever by an electronic musician there. The tour follows the release of Green's latest album «Distance in Static», scheduled for September 11 via Ninja Tune. The album features collaborations with a remarkable roster of artists, including Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis (Hundred Waters), and Aanya Martin. The lyrics are in English, Urdu, and Japanese, while historical Iranian samples and Guzheng recordings sit alongside Green's own carefully crafted instrumentation, recorded in sessions in LA, Tokyo, London, and beyond – a significant part of the album was created at Neil Young's legendary Broken Arrow Ranch in California, where he retreated for several weeks earlier this year. It is an album that marks the pinnacle of his over 25-year career as a musician and one of the leading figures in electronic music. Throughout his career, he has released two top-10 albums (2017's «Migration» and 2022's «Fragments», both reaching number 5 on the UK charts), along with numerous gold and silver-certified singles, over 900,000 records sold, billions of streams, collaborations with giants like Erykah Badu and Damon Albarn, and nominations for both the BRIT and GRAMMY awards – the latter seven times, five of which in the dance/electronic categories, sharing a record number of nominations with The Chemical Brothers, Skrillex, and Madonna. Additionally, Green's OUTLIER events and DJ sets have kept him at the forefront of contemporary dance music culture, connecting him with generations of club-goers in warehouses, festivals, and underground venues alike. In recent years, he has curated lineups with artists like Barry Can't Swim, Sofia Kourtesis, salute, Kelly Lee Owens, Mall Grab, DJ Tennis, SG Lewis, Carlita, Elkka, HAAi, John Talabot, Paula Tape, and many more. His OUTLIER showcase with a capacity of 15,000 at the Drumsheds in London became the fastest-sold-out event of the season, and a sold-out «Homecoming» OUTLIER show at On The Beach (Brighton) with a capacity of 10,000 was one of the summer's highlights. The visual world of the album – which runs through the entire artwork of the album and tour – was created in collaboration with acclaimed designer Trevor Jackson. Moving away from the landscape-inspired aesthetic of earlier Bonobo albums, «Distance in Static» instead draws on microscopic images by renowned micro-photographer John I. Koivula, creating crystalline, alien worlds that feel both natural and otherworldly. Participants: Bonobo
