Description
Rustic to transformed Schwyzerörgeli sounds, a tight horn section, accompanied by sparkling hackbrett background, groovy bass lines, jazzy drums, and gentle yodel singing. Sounds like a musical mess? Not at all! The latest collaboration of Big Band Zug mixes contemporary Swiss folk music and classic big band sound. Together with Schwyzerörgeli player Adrian Würsch, the band is working on a new program consisting of original compositions by Adrian Würsch, with pieces specially arranged for Big Band Zug. The goal of the project: a blending of genres, sounds, and scenes. In addition to Adrian Würsch on the Schwyzerörgeli, Big Band Zug welcomes Elias Menzi on the hackbrett and Elian Zeitel on vocals. Saxophone: Daniel Affentranger, Laura Thomann, Gabriel Stalder, Jérôme Peter, Fabian Kessler Trombone: Maurus Twerenbold, Stefan Isler, Claudio Lendi, Jonas Inglin Trumpet: Niki Jäger, Martin Borner, Christoph Kehl, Noemi Sablonier Rhythm: Jakob Reitinger (p), Dominik Zäch (g), Claudio Berger (b), Dominic Eschmann (dr)
