Both are among the most sought-after brass players in the German-speaking jazz and pop scene and are widely known as members of the Heavytones – the legendary band around Stefan Raab's TV productions. But this concert is much more than a guest appearance. In advance, Ludemann and Hepburn work during an intensive workshop weekend with the Big Band Liechtenstein. Together, they refine sound, style, improvisation, musical expression, and perfect ensemble playing. The final concert marks the highlight of this collaboration and brings the jointly developed work to life on the TAK stage. Lorenzo Ludemann impresses as a soloist and lead trumpeter with technical brilliance and stylistic versatility. Tim Hepburn combines his international concert activity with a professorship for jazz trombone and brings as much pedagogical experience as musical passion. Both regularly perform with renowned orchestras and artists and stand for modern big band jazz at the highest level. The result of this intensive collaboration is a concert that combines the musical handwriting of Big Band Liechtenstein with the experience of two internationally sought-after guest musicians – lively, varied, and with plenty of room for captivating musical moments.
