Live from Basel, it’s Saturday Night! Fill your weekend with laughter at The Beast Comedy Club’s Saturday talent showcase. A line up of the best rising talent and a top headliner will make you laugh all night (or at least until 10:30pm). The Beast, Basel’s first ever dedicated comedy club, is proud to showcase how much fantastic comedy talent there is in Switzerland. Bring a friend, a date, family, even an enemy you want to reconnect with- and we’ll make sure you leave smiling. The Beast is a members club (verein). You need to be a member to attend, but it is free and easy to join. About the comedians: Headline Act Magda Mihaila is a comedian based in France, but does not believe in borders. She does stand up each time she travels to a new place just to see if "hahaha" sounds the same in every language. The highlight of her career? Seinfeld saw her on The Tonight Show telling one of his jokes to a herd of cows and called her “the future of comedy”. The cows and Jimmy Fallon agreed. Her comedy style has been described as dark, thought-provoking with a touch of feminism. She can make people laugh in English, French, Spanish and Romanian and if that doesn’t work she might tickle you. Feature Acts: Andrija Stepanenko is a product of turbulent 20th century history and a few Basel Open Mics, so be careful not to startle him. On stage, his gung-ho-style of comedy is sometimes considered krass, dark, and an inspiration to horrible people across the globe. When he‘s not at uni, you can find Andrija on the Basel Open Mic scene, or at Teddy Hall‘s place trying to get booked for a show.
