Description
The beautiful and clever Viola, twin sister of Sebastian, has been separated from her brother in a shipwreck and lands in Illyria. There she decides to serve the noble Duke Orsino, but disguised as a man under the name Cesario. Duke Orsino takes a liking to the young nobleman Cesario/Viola and sends him as a love messenger to the wealthy Countess Olivia, whom Orsino pines for in love, without having been heard so far. Viola/Cesario, who has fallen head over heels in love with Duke Orsino, finds such messenger duties to the Countess extremely uncomfortable. When the otherwise inaccessible Countess Olivia also falls in love with the love messenger Cesario/Viola, it seems to go in circles. Additionally, Malvolio, the housekeeper of the Countess, also pines for Countess Olivia and is reinforced by a forged letter from the servants. Feste, the fool of the Countess, and her uncle Sir Toby Rülps with his friend Sir Andrew Bleichewang, have fun with Malvolio.
