Experience an unforgettable round trip with the historic steam train. The tour takes you over Tempelhof and Südkreuz to the Dresden Railway. Here, old technology meets modern infrastructure. On this route today, ICE trains travel at up to 160 km/h within Berlin city limits, but we travel at a leisurely pace to Glasower Damm, part of the Berlin outer ring. We continue past the former Schönefeld Airport station (near Berlin) and the outer ring before returning to Schöneweide. Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and discover the exciting and modern railway landscape of Berlin and its surroundings. This trip is perfect for train enthusiasts, families, and everyone who wants to connect history, modernity, and nature in a special way. Hop on and let this unique rail experience excite you! The short trips are especially suitable for families with (small) children to experience authentic steam locomotive atmosphere. Our train starts in Berlin-Schöneweide. Currently, the following schedules are planned (as of August 2026). ROUND 1: Berlin-Schöneweide from 9:00 AM, arriving at Berlin-Schöneweide at 10:30 AM. ROUND 2: Berlin-Schöneweide from 12:00 PM, arriving at Berlin-Schöneweide at 1:30 PM. ROUND 3: Berlin-Schöneweide from 2:30 PM, arriving at Berlin-Schöneweide at 4:00 PM. The final schedules will be available here one week before the trip. Exact times at www.berlin-macht-dampf.com. Our special train is pulled by the fast steam locomotive 03 2155 (130 km/h, built in 1934, 1980 HP, weight 159 tons, length 23.9 meters). During the journey in the historic dining car, the aroma of coffee, cake, mulled wine, and other treats fills the air. There is a discount for families: if at least 2 adults travel with several children over 6 years old, there is a reduced fare for 2 to 4 children. For children aged 6 to 14, select the fare class "Child (6-14) for family ticket".
