Hanging laundry, collecting eggs, feeding the farm dog, cooking Sauerbraten – that’s the work on the farm that the young Aylesbury duck (pronounced: Äilsbörriente) has to do. Ah! – and also milking cows, shearing sheep, and darn socks, of course. Huh? What does the farmer actually do? Well, he lies lazily in his feathers, eats chocolates, and commands the duck around. "What does the work?" echoes across the yard. "Quack," says the duck. 24/7 – every day, around the clock. No wonder the duck, exhausted and ready for slaughter, wants to disappear. But the cows, chickens, sheep, and especially the dog, won’t let that happen. Together they discuss what to do in this tricky situation. Because one thing is clear: The farmer must go. But how?
Muh-gak-mäh-wuff is the plan to drive the duck killer off the farm. From then on, everyone can be a farmer. And whenever one of them is, the others do the work. A piece about solidarity and the courage to stand up for others.
