The Ballet BC from Vancouver, under the artistic direction of Medhi Walerski, is considered Canada's leading contemporary dance company. With this captivating dance evening featuring three world-class choreographies, it is making its first visit to Winterthur.

Crystal Pite explores the unknown in «Frontier» – the characterization of dark matter, the personification of shadows: «For me, creation means entering uncharted territory and trying to establish a creative relationship with doubt. ‹Frontier› is a portrait of the invisible forces that move us.» Inspired by Emily Dickinson's poem «Hope is the thing with feathers», «SWAY» unfolds that lyrical movement language for which Medhi Walerski is renowned. Flowing, harmonious transitions between duets and ensemble passages create moments of timeless beauty – fleeting like the hope described in the poem.

Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber are known for their intense, unexpected, and expressive creations. In «Obsidian», all sensual elements of dance come together, live accompanied by pianist Perri Lo.
