Description

Po-Cheng Tsai is no longer a secret tip. The native Taiwanese has already won numerous choreography competitions and has worked with successful companies, such as La Veronal by Marcos Morau or the Bern Ballet. He was trained at the Taipei National University of Arts and founded his own company B. DANCE in 2014. With "BOOM," he also founded a festival dedicated to the exchange between Asian and European dance scenes. In his pieces, Tsai combines contemporary dance, martial arts, hip-hop, and Asian traditions; a highly exciting mix where imagination and physicality engage in a dance dialogue. Inspired by the rediscovery of ancient bacteria and viruses through the melting glaciers, the dance piece "CRACK" deals with suppressed feelings in interpersonal relationships. It shows relentless anger and dissatisfaction that carve their way through small cracks to the surface, which has been permanently changed. Credits:

B. DANCE presents the dance piece "CRACK" by Po-Cheng Tsai at Burghof Lörrach. The Taiwanese choreographer combines contemporary dance with martial arts and Asian traditions to depict complex emotions. The performance addresses suppressed feelings and their expression in interpersonal relationships.
