Judith Bliss, a former actress, and her husband, writer David, spend the summer with their two teenage children. Independently, each of them invites a guest for the weekend, whom they eagerly anticipate, only to find out that their guest won't be the only one in the house. From that moment on, arguments among the self-centered family members overshadow hospitality and common decency. The Bliss family's life is a little hell. Everyone behaves immaturely and childishly. The guests are confused and fall prey to the traps of romantic games...
