Description
Between the intimacy of home and the influence of the outside world, Edouard Hue choreographs a powerful diptych on parenthood.
After the success of Dive and Flowers, Edouard Hue returns with a diptych exploring the different facets of parenthood. From the most intimate daily life to confrontation with a hostile world, a trajectory emerges where education is an act of vigilance, transmission, and liberation. In Avant la nuit, the bedtime routine becomes a choreography with 10 children embodied by dancers. Between play space, rules that soothe, and constant attention, a fragile harmony is built with the parents. In L’Oiseau de feu, driven by Stravinsky's music, movement subtly slips into an universe that confines and formats, a metaphor for the risks children are exposed to. Faced with these tensions, parental figures become ramparts and sources of light opening a path to emancipation.
