A family, two centuries, three women – their stories are closely intertwined. Marianna grows up as a farmer in Poland at the end of World War II. Her daughter Róza leaves her homeland in the late 1980s and begins a new life in Germany. There, Waleria grows up, alienated from her grandmother's language and world. When she learns she cannot have children, she questions her origins, family, and what remains of the women before her. With poetic clarity and narrative finesse, Oliwia Hälterlein tells of memory, language, and the invisible bond that connects the women of a family. About the author: Oliwia Hälterlein, born in 1986 in Bydgoszcz, is an author, dramaturge, moderator, and lecturer.
