Description
A comprehensive array of instruments will be used again – from trumpet, clarinet, and baritone saxophone to ukulele, concertina, and toy piano, as well as jaw harps, angklung, and singing saw. Stylistically, the range extends from Guillaume Dufay to various sound worlds and minimal music. Literarily, the three gentlemen adhere to Georg Christoph Lichtenberg's legendary "Sudelbücher," in which the Göttingen physics professor recorded all kinds of observations and questions for decades: "I was tossing all sorts of thoughts around in my head until the following one came to the top." With such Lichtenbergian flashes of thought, a joyful musical theater evening is created, where branching paths and spontaneous digressions repeatedly occur. Participants and additional information: By and with Christoph "Meier" Gantert, Martin "Moser" Schumacher, Lukas "Huber" Roth. Texts from Georg Christoph Lichtenberg's "Sudelbücher" (1742-1799). Direction: Delia Dahinden. Composition and musical direction: Martin Schumacher. Lighting design: Nik Tobler. Stage: Lukas Roth. Graphics: Gabriela Scholl. Photos: Palma Fiacco.
