Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major op. 8 Happy are those who are supported in their youth by the BBC as a “New Generation Artist”! Each year, the British broadcaster selects five outstanding musicians or ensembles from the international scene and supports them with recordings, concerts, and media presence. Among the latest “New Gens” is the spectacular Astatine Trio. The concerts of the three musicians are fireworks of joy in playing, artistic imagination, and musical power. The trio by Karen Tanaka – written for the Astatine Trio – will have its German premiere in Ettlingen, framed by favorite pieces from the piano trio repertoire by Mozart and Brahms.
