Arnulf Rating The Annual Press Review 2026 - Cabaret Evening in Word and Image - Directed by Ulrich Waller

Description

For decades, Arnulf Rating has been at the pulse of the times with his cabaret. Using media headlines, he dissects current events. Now, at the end of the year, he compiles the top news of 2026 into a show. Uniquely, Rating serves exquisite delicacies from the cabinet of curiosities of the media jungle. With sharp words and great pleasure, he releases the stale air from media filter bubbles. A pointed look back at prominent embarrassments. And what really went wrong. The ultimate press review. For laughing. For crying. For wondering. Liberating. Refreshing! With speed and high entertainment value, one of the country's longest-serving sharp-tongued performers shines here. The last of the legendary 3 Tornados to perform on stage. His standard is the same as back then with the Tornados. Entertainment with integrity. The claim remains: to send people home from the theater with expanded consciousness above and a wet pants below. ______________________________ About Arnulf Rating:
Born in 1951 in Mülheim, has lived in Berlin since 1972; has written cabaret history since 1977 with the "3 Tornados," after reunification from 1990 with the "Reichspolterabend," and in the new millennium with the annual "Political Ash Wednesday Berlin." Besides numerous cabaret programs, he is active as an organizer (International Word Art Festival "Maulhelden") including revue programs like "Der Blaue Montag." He is also active online with "tagesschauer." However, his passion belongs to lively action on stage. When he throws the projection, opens the suitcase full of newspapers, and fires his salvos with crazy word cascades into the audience, it is clear: The oldest Rating agency in Germany strikes mercilessly again. Arnulf Rating is married and has three adult children. "The Rating, the long blonde one, watch out for him when he performs, he can tear his nightgown out of ecstasy, I've never seen anything like it! Unbelievable!" (Wolfgang Neuss) "Even many years after the 3 Tornados, RATING is still one of the best satirists we have here." (Donau Kurier) Awards and honors:
1979 German Small Arts Award - (Support Award with the 3 Tornados)
1995 German Cabaret Award
2003 German Small Arts Award
2017 Hessian Cabaret Award
