Description
Welcome: Birgit Güde, Young Literature House Freiburg. Witty and exuberant, poet Arne Rautenberg plays with words, sound, and rhythm, transforming the familiar and conjuring new worlds. Nothing here is impossible! From wild giant dinosaurs in Dino cinemas to the rabbit and the bee working together at the machine for pralines. With his rhyme-angel, Rautenberg always lands new surprises: the polar bear from the Arctic Sea, and, huh, a cow with a tattoo!
"Thirty-eight Quails Come to Sleep Over" (Peter Hammer, 2026) gathers 123 poems for children and kids of all ages. The great illustrator, picture book artist, and Karlchen creator Rotraut Susanne Berner puts a hat on poetry: she has populated the new children's poetry classic with a flock of adorable quails.
