Anicia Kohler traveled through Switzerland and visited people from mountain villages such as Kandersteg, Brienz, Blatten, Gondo, and Bondo. In conversations, the portrayed share stories of anxious days and painful loss – but also of love, friendships, and solidarity. Many of them have been featured in the media before and now have space to tell more of their story: about their childhood in the village, about the centuries-old awareness of the mountains, which are both protection and danger. She is a writer of texts and music and writes for companies and media, composing music that often results from intensive research and conversations. She has long been interested in everyday life, living, and music in and from Swiss mountain villages. In 2022, her book «Die Wände hoch aufs Dach» was published, featuring 27 conversations about nature, art, and being at home, released by the record label CYH and extensively discussed on SRF 2 Kultur.
