She gained international attention in 2019 with her debut album "The Oracle," which she recorded solely with her phone. The critically acclaimed work propelled her to meteoric fame. With her ensemble Tha Brothahood, she tours worldwide and released the highly praised album "LIVE" in 2020, which was awarded by NPR and Pitchfork, among others. Additionally, she leads the women’s ensemble Sistazz of the Nitty Gritty, is active as a musician in numerous projects of the Chicago avant-garde, and has collaborated with artists like Damon Locks, Ben LaMar Gay, and Roscoe Mitchell.
