Alma Naidu is an award-winning singer, composer, and lyricist from Munich. The Süddeutsche Zeitung described her as "one of the greatest singers in the German scene," and Jazzthing magazine praised her "delicate, wonderfully clear voice with absolutely perfect intonation." Naidu was awarded the BMW Welt Young Artist Jazz Award, the Kurt Maas Jazz Award, and the Bavarian Nachwuchspreis. She studied jazz singing and jazz composition in Munich, Cologne, and London.
Her debut album "Alma" showcased her personal sound rooted in jazz and singer-songwriter traditions, earning her a place in the Top 10 of the German jazz charts. Since then, the classically and jazz-trained artist has toured internationally with her band and performed across Europe and Asia.
Her self-produced second album "REDEFINE" was released in May 2025 by Leopard Records and reached number 3 on the German jazz charts. Additionally, she ranked in the Top 100 of the official German album charts. Influenced by jazz, classical music, cinematic soundscapes, and songwriting by artists like Sting, Becca Stevens, and Billy Joel, Naidu combines rich harmony, acoustic textures, and poetic lyrics. Her music explores themes of identity, self-determination, and questioning stereotypes, creating a soulful sound—intimate yet expansive.
