"Oh, you don't have to understand everything to the last detail – you have to: live" He works where others rarely want to linger: at the Rosenberg Cemetery in Winterthur. As a gravedigger, he accompanies people in the last moments of farewell. He hears the music of a lived life, experiences families between grief and indifference, and observes how entire biographies are reflected in a few moments. Over time, this work changes his view of people – and of himself. Because in the midst of daily dealings with death, he discovers something unexpected: a new attentiveness to life. Between urns, gravestones, and the quiet routines of the cemetery, thoughts about dying arise, rarely heard – unspectacular, precise, and often carried by dry humor. Because whoever carries an urn must not slip. In ALLES IST GROSS, Zsuzsa Bánk tells the story of a man who is indispensable yet supposed to be invisible. With great accuracy and warmth, the piece zooms in on a single life and raises fundamental questions: When is a life "properly" lived? Are there small and big lives? Why are all people always good post mortem? And why do we seek signs, order, and meaning in our lives in the face of death, which seems so small under the infinitely vast sky?
