Description

For viewers aged 10 and above, we vividly and empathetically learn about the wishes and fears of a child searching for identity. Loosely based on the memoirs "Pearls of Childhood" by Vera Gissing, the Theater La Senty Menti has adapted episodes from her diary for the stage: with acting, animations, and music, the characters from Vera's diary come alive on stage. The story of eleven-year-old Vera and her memories of an carefree childhood in a diary: the idyllic village she comes from hides the cruelties of the Nazi era. Until the escape becomes the only hope for the Jewish community. And Vera's life is forever changed. But a spark of hope always remains, and the will of an individual can make a difference. Or as it is said in the Talmud: Whoever saves a single life, saves the entire world. "There are many ways for young people to learn about the Shoah.
