Description

Under the new leadership of Alex de Almeida, Akkordeonale 2027 promises many new colors, rhythms, and musical impulses – while also preserving the tradition and successful festival format of past years. Akkordeonale 2027 combines Brazilian Forró and Latin American joie de vivre, poetic soundscapes from Berlin, classical elegance, Eastern European melancholy, and modern urban sounds into a fascinating overall experience. The new artistic director and Brazilian accordionist Alex de Almeida, with his rhythmic passion beyond all stylistic boundaries, the Italian sound poet Pier Paolo Bertoli, the Ukrainian exceptional accordionist Anna Bodnar with her classical expressiveness, the Slovak singer and accordionist Júlia Masnicová with her touching voice and musical influences from Tango, Balkan, and Chanson, as well as the Baden accordionist Michael Ziegler (Ziggi Accordion), who brings the accordion into the present with modern sounds and cinematic atmosphere, are part of the ensemble. The ensemble is accompanied by Brazilian drummer Mateus do Carmo and bassist Filipe Moreno, whose grooves and rhythmic depth shape the musical pulse of Akkordeonale 2027.
