10 years of Akaishi Daiko Freiburg (Traditional Japanese Drums) – A celebration like in Japan Ten years ago, Akaishi Daiko brought the powerful rhythms of Japanese Taiko to Freiburg – and since then, we have made the city of the sun and Bächle vibrate with the sound of Japanese drums. We do not just celebrate this anniversary – we turn it into an unforgettable experience: a colorful festival inspired by traditional Japanese Matsuri. Immerse yourself in a world full of energy, sound, and culture! Starting at 4 p.m., our festival opens its doors: enjoy hearty, sweet, and Japanese delicacies, discover lovingly crafted stalls, and let yourself be carried away like at a real Matsuri. At 6 p.m., the highlight of the evening begins: look forward to exciting Taiko performances and a varied stage program.
