Advent in Kadaň

Description

Admission: free. We thank the event sponsor Toyoda Gosei Czech, s. r. o. On Saturday, November 28, 2026, the Christmas tree will be lit again in Kadaň at Mírové náměstí. Before the first candle on the Advent wreath is lit in the evening, you can enjoy the prepared program starting at 10 AM. The program will take place in several locations – at the market, on the stage, in the arcade, and in the church. Throughout the day, you can visit the Christmas market in the square, meet Angels on stilts, and little Angels who distribute treats. Local choirs will perform on stage. In the afternoon, there will also be a performance for children. At the end of the program, you can look forward to a concert, the handing over of the miner's light of Saint Barbara, and the lighting of the first candle on the Advent wreath. This will be followed by a fireworks display and the lighting of the Christmas tree. The program will be specified.
