A Beginner's Guide to Sightseeing

Description

Two ghosts haunt a house that is actually far too small for them. Somewhere, carpet machines rattle, a spotlight crashes down, and in the middle lies – quite naturally – a stranded orca. Tourists, who should be there, are conspicuously absent. A pair of binoculars searches for something that may not even exist. And somewhere, for sure, the largest peanut in the world waits to be discovered. Maybe. Three observations take the audience on a journey: What truly deserves a second glance? Where do we prefer to look away? And who is actually observing whom – when suddenly no one is watching? “A Beginner’s Guide to Sightseeing” plays with the act of looking itself: with real, invented, and quite spectacular sights. Prior knowledge? You don’t need any. Popcorn? It’s already included.
