35mm-Triple (Three Cult Film Classics on 35mm)

Description

35 mm triple feature (Kultmoviegang goes analog) Saturday, December 12, 26 | Lichtspiel Bern Nolan firmly believes in it, and so do we: this man lingers on set with cameras as big as refrigerators, just to immortalize his films on real film, and we think he’s absolutely right. On December 12, we bring the film reel back to Lichtspiel Bern. Three cult classics in original 35 mm, with their scratches, splices, and that cinema nostalgia that 4K can never match. Our debut with this triple program in 35 mm is marked by the winter golden age of the 90s: a double dose of Burton meets the authentic madness of Annie Wilkes. Program 4:00 PM – Edward Scissorhands | Perhaps the most tender love story Tim Burton has ever told. 6:30 PM – Batman Returns | Gotham City celebrates Christmas, with the Penguin, Catwoman, and Burton at the height of his gothic art. 9:00 PM – Misery | An author, a fan, and a hammer. Kathy Bates shows you what being a true "number one fan" really means. All films are presented in the original version with German subtitles. We will, of course, be on site again and will offer food and drinks between screenings to keep you going until the end. Tickets It’s very simple: 35 CHF for all three films, whether you are a member or not. Tickets are available here: https://www.kultmoviegang.ch/shop Where? At Lichtspiel Bern!
