Description
In search of the musical «slang» of each genre in the context of early music and jazz. One of the first things a curious tourist picks up is the vernacular: it’s a way to start a conversation or break the ice. Sometimes a single foreign word is the missing puzzle piece that perfectly expresses what we mean. A lush chord, a wistful ostinato, a tricky beat, a catchy standard – the sextet with six native languages and even more diverse musical backgrounds gets to know each other's musical vocabulary and then expresses it in their own accent. The more musical languages the musicians throw into the melting pot, the richer and more vibrant the conversation becomes. Everyone can instinctively follow the flow, even without speaking the dialect. However, a well-traveled audience familiar with various musical traditions may also recognize the traces of the individual genres: early music and modern harmonies. Line-up: Arany Kővári: recorders,/cornett, Colin Heller: violin, Halldór Bjarki Arnarson: harpsichord, Joosung An: keys, Gal Golob: bass, Pau Gurpegui: drumsHighlights
