2nd Castle Concert: 'Advent Concert'

Description

A soundful romanticism awaits the audience at this year's traditional Advent concert of the Oberrheinisches Symphony Orchestra Lörrach e. V. conducted by Siping Wang. The soloist Susanne Mathé (violin), who was engaged for the concert, performs Mendelssohn's famous Violin Concerto in E minor with lyrical elegance and virtuosic brilliance. The evening begins with Niels W. Gade's Overture Efterklange af Ossian, an atmospherically dense early work full of Nordic colors and romantic tension.
