Description

The two elderly sisters Ruth and Vreni Ängel have lived for decades in the attic apartment of an old rental building. When the apartment below is freshly renovated, the two are eager to move. But they hit a wall with the landlady Blunschli. Quickly, the Ängels strike back: with books, pans, and all sorts of tricks, they try to drive away the new tenants, while simultaneously trying to convince the landlord of their "urgency" with invented ailments. When the two sisters then – independently of each other – each take in a subtenant, things suddenly get tight. And when these see through the game of the two sly sisters, chaos really begins.
