Description

The artist Daniel Kälin lives and works in Einsiedeln. The aspiring architect completed his artistic training at the School of Art and Design in Zurich and has only recently begun to open up insight into his work. After an exhibition at the Art Gallery Studio Omelai in Zurich, we are now pleased to present his art in the SILO Foyer. "My works combine painting and drawing with strong contrasts, wild structures, and clear black lines. The black acrylic marker is a recurring element and gives my pictures structure and a distinctive graphic language. The backgrounds often arise intuitively, raw, and experimentally. Thus, chaos and order, loud and quiet, color and clear line meet. These opposites belong to my style. I want to show that different things do not have to be in contradiction but can come together to create something independent and strong. For me, this also represents an attitude: respect and tolerance towards different opinions and perspectives.
