Zurich Jazz Orchestra feat. China Moses

Description

The singer, songwriter, and producer China Moses develops her art and music in an open and honest way. Her music is defiantly authentic and resists what so many labels and critics want: a box. She captivates her audience with her deep sense of rhythm, sensitivity, and wit, drawing inspiration from countless styles within the broad tradition of African American music. Open and fearless, China's songs document fleeting emotional states and extended narratives, often focusing on self-reflection in both lyrics and phrasing. China Moses and Ed Partyka have been working together since 2014, building a strong artistic connection based on mutual respect and trust. Over the years, Ed has arranged many of China's original compositions as well as selected songs from the pop, soul, and gospel repertoire for jazz orchestra.
