The 18 young singers dedicate themselves under the direction of Christian Erny to the French motet tradition of the 20th century – a musical treasure of overwhelming colorfulness. We encounter three of its most significant voices: Francis Poulenc, Pierre Villette, and Olivier Messiaen. Their masterfully crafted motets combine intimate sacredness with radiant sound splendor, inviting both quiet reflection and festive blossoming. In between, traditional French Noëls will be heard: touching and catchy strophic songs that tell the Christmas story in moving simplicity. Thus unfolds a versatile musical fabric, rich in expression and atmosphere. It offers the listener both moments of contemplation and radiant festivity. Source:
