Larmes & Rires - Magic of Tone Colors Works by Andrès, Tedeschi, Verdalle, Huber, Bignone, Piazzolla Eva Maria Hux, Cello / Julia Kreyenbühl-Gschwend, Harp Duo Resonance presents in its program Larmes & Rires a fascinatingly diverse sound palette. Sometimes impressionistically sketchy, sometimes erupting into dramatic Italian opera passion, sometimes evoking autumn landscapes, whirlwinds, waves or illusions of alphorn, didgeridoo, laughter and flute tones – then again unrestrainedly romantic and virtuosic. The duo performs original compositions and arrangements of works originally written for other instruments but too beautiful not to be interpreted also with cello and harp. Among others, Georg Walter Huber's Fantasy op. 13, Bernard Andrés' Chants d’arrière-saison, Luigi Maurizio Tedeschi's Elegy op. 22, Gabriel Verdalle's Larmes et rires, Maurizio Bignone's Respiro and Astor Piazzolla's Vuelvo al Sur are played. The duo presents classical music that sometimes flirts with genres like tango, film music, klezmer, and schlager – but always with elegance, a sense of form, and a well-measured dose of drama. The grave of Saint Idda is a refuge for many seekers. Here they hope for healing, comfort, and answers to their questions. At 2:30 PM, the legend is told at the grave.
