ZOO OF THE DIASPORA FILM SCREENING «BEHIND THE CLOSET LIES BAUSCHTU» Thu, November 12 | 7:00 PM – «Fremdzeit» – followed by a discussion with the protagonists. Location: Haus der Religionen – Dialogue of Cultures Cost: Free admission About Zoo of the Diaspora: The permanent exhibition «Zoo of the Diaspora» is a participatory project that was created as part of the open youth work of toj – Association for Open Youth Work of the City of Bern. Youth and young adults from Bern West demonstrate the complex interconnections of migration history, work, identity, responsibility, family, and belonging. In a writing workshop and in studios for music, film, photography, and design, the youth reflect on their own experiences in the diaspora. The goal is to make different life worlds visible, give young people a voice, and empower them to oppose discriminatory, dividing, and racist processes. Duration: Tue, November 3 to Sat, November 14 | Exhibition, during the opening hours of Haus der Religionen including Sun and Mon, November 14 – Night of Religions – the exhibition is open from 6 PM to 10:30 PM.
