The Konzertchor Zürichsee under the direction of Martin Messmer is one of the defining players in the cultural life of the region. In Hombrechtikon, it appears in a smaller formation – a cappella. It is dedicated to "Early Music," whose delicate works of the Renaissance and early Baroque come beautifully to life in the transparent acoustics of the Hombrechtikon church. At the same time, the church offers the perfect sound space for two rarely heard instruments, the glass harmonica and the lute. In addition to original works for these two instruments with their floating tones, Annamarie Ilg-Mörgeli and Irina Döring also perform compositions from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical periods. In interplay with the choir, a touching sound world is created that lets one linger in timeless spaces.
