Description

It started with a simple video challenge: A few teenagers wanted to sneak into a furniture store for one night. The night turned into weeks, becoming a permanent state of emergency. The teenagers rebel against the adults and their capitalist buying behavior. The teenagers revolve around themselves in their utopia and do not realize that they have arrived in reality. Namely, only as an instrument in the furniture store's advertising campaign.

General Information

The performance "Youtopia - without us, we could stay here" addresses the uprising of teenagers against capitalist buying behavior. Originally intended as a nighttime challenge, the story develops into a critical view of reality and the role of teenagers in advertising.
