YAIMA is much more than just a duo – it is an invitation to feel. Born between the misty forests and wild coasts of the Cascadia region and now based in Seattle, the "Yaima Music Project" brings together multi-instrumentalist and producer Masaru Higasa and singer Pepper Proud. Together, they weave timeless music at the intersection of worlds, where opposites meet and balance with rare precision. Their folktronic universe combines traditional instruments from around the world, subtle electronic textures, and deeply moving voices. Each song is a vibrant landscape – both organic, enveloping, and radiant. Inspired by nature in its greatest expanse and most intimate depth, their music acts like a breath: it calms, uplifts, and connects. It opens a space where the heart can soften and the mind can expand. YAIMA offers not just a concert, but a journey. A bridge between humanity and the living, between the inner and the invisible. For several years, their music has echoed around the world, touching all those in search of depth, beauty, and authenticity. The name YAIMA itself carries this poetry: it comes from both Mapudungun (the flow of water) and an untouched region of Japan, symbolizing flow, transmission, and the memory of cultures. After a breathtaking and deeply moving moment in Zurich in 2025, YAIMA returns to Switzerland for a unique performance in Nyon on October 11, 2026. This evening is designed as a true journey. We begin at 6:30 PM with a cacao ceremony to take time together, arrive, connect, and prepare the ground for listening. Then the music will gently carry us away.
