XAVIER BAUMAXA is a North Bohemian crossover artist of regional character, whose frozen parody of creation resembles the grumpy losers from the underground who mutually reinforce their resistance to everything popular and new through their shared, continuous, historical failure. He builds his image on the fact that he pretends not to care that he has never won any awards, which in the eyes of like-minded losers only confirms his status as a solitary and exceptional generational truth-teller. How else can one explain that someone still voluntarily attends the concerts of a desperate person trying to grasp at straws in the unknown half-waters of electronics, and who can comfortably hide behind a band or string sextet when exposed to criticism? The only thing that can be done with his down-to-earth music is sex...
