WUW – WIND UND WAND

Description

With physical precision and great emotional intensity, the dance piece makes feelings visible for which there are often no words. At the center of the performance is a movable wall that simultaneously separates and connects the two dancers. It becomes a symbol for boundaries, obstacles, and the desire to overcome them. In contrast stands the wind – sometimes gentle, sometimes stormy – representing change, uncertainty, and the dynamics of growing up. The interplay of these two elements unfolds into an impressive choreography between closeness and distance, resistance and lightness, control and freedom. WUW – Wind und Wand was developed as part of the Explore Dance network and was created together with children aged 10 to 13. Workshops, discussions, and creative processes incorporated their experiences, questions, and movements directly into the choreography. Thus, a dance piece was created that is both powerful and sensitive, taking young people seriously and inviting adults to reflect on the challenges of growing up.
