Bayanzul Damdinsuren is an exceptional talent of the horsehead fiddle and throat singing (both UNESCO World Heritage). Deeply connected with Mongolian folk music, he builds bridges to the world and invites you to visit the Mongolian world. Mongolian folk music tells of the Mongolian nature, the vast plains, and the animals and people living there. The sounds imitate this world and thus open a space to immerse oneself in it. His solo program uniquely highlights the diversity and tonal beauty of the horsehead fiddle and illuminates the fine differences of throat singing.

General Information

The workshop takes place at Klangkeller Bern and offers a brief introduction to Mongolian throat singing. Participants learn basic techniques and breathing exercises under the guidance of the exceptional talent Bayanzul Damdinsuren.
