Description
Model your own ceramic vessel in the style of the "Albarelli," the iconic apothecary jar of the Italian Renaissance. The workshop is offered in two parts. At the beginning of the workshop, you will receive a brief introduction to the art and cultural history of the Albarelli. Afterwards, you will shape your own vessel based on the historical objects. In the second session, you will paint and decorate your sculpture. Feel free to draw inspiration from historical templates or create your own Renaissance style. Your finished, painted, and glazed Albarelli will then be fired at the Wild at Art Studio and can be picked up there later. Recommended age: from 12 years, suitable for beginners who want to learn the art of modeling. Registration for the workshop is available at 061 207 48 11. It is recommended to visit the special exhibition before participating in the workshop. Participation in the workshop is funded by the SNSF Agora grant, including museum entry and workshop costs. If you have registered and cannot attend, please cancel by phone. There will be a waiting list.
