Description

Malte Müller, tenor, described by US-American Fanfare Magazine as a "highly expressive singer" who "can draw on an impressive range of dynamics and colors, combined with a crystal-clear expressiveness," and whose singing has been compared to Peter Pears or Julius Patzak, has performed with various orchestras and ensembles in many cities and concert halls both domestically and abroad. His concert engagements have taken him to Zurich (Tonhalle), Lucerne (KKL), Munich (Herkulessaal, Cathedral), Essen (Philharmonie, Cathedral), Heidelberg (Old Aula), Vienna (Austrian Society for Music), Kloster Banz, Assisi, Perugia, Bern, and Zagreb. His repertoire on the concert stage includes major works from Baroque to late Romanticism, as well as German film hits, operetta arias, and highlights from classical musicals. Malte Müller also particularly enjoys dedicating himself to art songs.
Born in Lichtenfels in northern Bavaria, Malte Müller received his musical training after fundamental musical shaping in the boys' choir Regensburger Domspatzen and successful studies of law at the Mannheim University of Music with Rudolf Piernay and Alejandro Ramírez. He was significantly influenced by Puerto Rican tenor Edgardo Zayas, who instructed him in Belcanto technique.
