Immerse yourself for an evening in 17th-century Brig.
In the historic vaulted cellar of the Angleterre restaurant, a carefully staged tasting dinner inspired by the era of Kaspar Stockalper awaits you.
Enjoy a surprise menu specially designed for this occasion. We will not reveal yet which delicious specialties will be served. The different dishes will only reveal their secrets on the evening itself.
The menu will be accompanied by a selection of traditional Valais wines from Domaines Kreuzritter. The traditional orientation of the cellar and its characterful wines naturally fit into the historical concept of the evening.
Between the dishes, entertaining historical anecdotes will offer you an exciting glimpse into the time of the great Kaspar Stockalper of the Tour. Join us for a journey back in time, returning to 17th-century Brig, and immerse yourself in the universe of the great merchant whose work still marks Valais today.
Our staff will welcome you dressed in historical attire. Our guests are also cordially invited to dress in period costume, in the style of Swiss Alpine Baroque. Historical costumes are welcome but are of course not a prerequisite for participation. For all interested, we provide a brief introduction to this era as well as suggestions for suitable attire, available for download.
