Description
The concert features the beautiful and intense string quartet music of Dvorak, Adams, and Tower, complemented by texts from Henry David Thoreau about the wild apple. The Zurich-based Belenus Quartet interprets Dvorak's famous 'American' quartet, three dances by John Adams, and Joan Tower's 'Wild Summer'. Michael Wolf narrates Thoreau's reflections on the simple wild apple, inviting the audience to a late autumn evening immersed in nature and music.
