Weltfilmtag im Cinema Stalla - A Sad and beautiful World

Description

Nino and Yasmina are born on the same day, in the same hospital, and just a minute apart, while outside, the civil war rages. As children, they are very good friends, but they lose touch when Yasmina moves away and only reunite twenty years later. It is love at second sight – but their visions of life and their shared future could hardly be more different, as their personal experiences and the political turmoil in the country have left their marks. Director and screenwriter Cyril Aris tells a captivating love story set against the backdrop of Beirut, spanning three decades and reflecting Lebanon's recent past.
